Youth Voices in Education
What an amazing night in my neighbourhood at @coursbayviewyards attending Youth Voices in Education.
Listening to ACB (African, Caribbean, Black) youth share their experiences of marginalization in their lives struck close to home. As a first-generation Canadian of colour, I can relate to many of their lived experiences.
The future is in good hands with these young leaders, and it is important that we have representation from all walks of life to be truly reflective of all people.
Great panel, entertainment (shout out to @bujaensemble for their amazing dance performance), delicious Caribbean dinner, and inspiring presentations and poetry readings!
Thank you to Pinecrest-Queensway Community Health Centre for the invite and additional event organizers @jakukonbitottawa, @britannia.woods @prezdentialhoops, @ontrillium
