Paid Parking Round Table

The week of October 5 to October 9, we canvassed over 75 businesses on Wellington St West and Richmond Road to discuss paid parking and the impact to their businesses. Most businesses signed-up for Round Table, which we will be hosting to engage with businesses on real solutions.

The purpose of the Round Table is not to be confrontational, or to pick sides - free parking vs. paid parking. We want to simply engage with the community to offer real solutions and concerns so we can let our city officials know.

Businesses are a vital part of our community. We are fortunate to have so many small ‘mom & pop’ styles businesses, that employ and serve our community. The last thing we want is to see them leave. As a realtor for 21+ years, free street parking was incorporated in many lease rates, and this is now an unfair burden faced to many businesses.
