OREB Housing Symposium
The Housing Symposium was a huge success! Thanks to The Ottawa Real Estate Board team- I’m truly honoured to be serving as a Director alongside an extremely talented board. It is great to see OREB as a thought leader on addressing real housing issues and their commitment to work collaboratively with all level of governments.
Housing is a right.
I'm happy to see the City of Ottawa / Ville d’Ottawa lead on issues such as inclusionary zoning and the pledge to end youth homelessness by 2030 made by Mayor Mark Sutcliffe. This municipal election, housing and affordability is top of mind for many Ottawa residents. It’s time for intelligent, collaborative, and real solution oriented discussions.
Great to see municipal leaders like Theresa Kavanagh working with non-profits and advocating for social housing (we need to grab that coffee!). Always happy to chat housing and affordability with Councillors Tim Tierney and David Hill, ICD.D, fellow colleagues Rick Bedard and Dave Williams and seeing other many other councillors in attendance (Jeff Leiper, Laura Dudas).
It was a pleasure to hear and chat with Hon. Yasir Naqvi 🇨🇦 on Build Canada Homes and Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing of Ontario, Mr. Rob Flack. Furthermore, I'm super confident in the direction our regulator, through the leadership of Jean Lépine, MBA, is taking with RECO to rebuild trust.
Thanks for having me be a part of these very important discussions and more importantly, on real solutions.
Want to chat housing or anything else? Let’s grab a coffee, and please continue keep sending me messages (I promise I will get back to them all). I truly love meeting and hearing from you in the neighbourhood!
